This library is amazing and the staff are amazing. They have great activities for small children with their parents, and it is always clean and tidy. It helps that they are across from an Ontario Early Years centre. I love that they have Lego Duplo and other toys for small kids too. Keeps them busy while you browse and check out. It has a great variety of books for kids too.The picture is outdated, they now have a narrow table along the front window with several outlets to plug in laptops and cell phones. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because as far as adult reading material, they are too small to offer a wide variety. They really need a bigger space. That said, now that TPL has online book borrowing, maybe physical books just aren't in high demand anymore?

The new library at the Parkway mall has now opened and it is fabulous! There are more new computers, more books, more everything. There are separate areas for quiet working, book these in advance by phone or computer in 1 hour time frames long desks with lots of electrical outlets. And best of all there is a closed in children's area where they can play and make as much noise to there hearts content and it's not heard in the rest of the library. They have new features like being able to print from home if you have a library card and wifi. There are too many new features. Come spend an hour or a day to check it out!

There are separate areas for quiet working, long desks with electrical outlets for charging gadgets. Additionally there is a closed in children's area where they can play and make as much noise and without interfering with the rest of the library

Yesterday I was at the Maryvale library, very nice and clean space. But I didn't feel particularly welcome there. Two librarians were chatting away about their private matters at the front desk and I felt I was intruding in their conversation. I am a senior citizen, library gives me a sense of community and belonging, a little more attention please. Books on the lower shelves are impossible to reach for older people, a chair would be nice. Besides it is dark andit makes it difficult to see the titles on the lower shelves.
